Advanced Camera, Editing & Green Screen Workshop
Combining some of our most popular workshops the 'Full Day Workshop' will provide the students with an in-depth understanding of film making and how to best use their smart device as a One Stop Video Production Shop. In the morning we will cover Advanced Camera and Editing Skills and after lunch we embark on the world of Green Screen Technology. Students will write & produce up to 2 projects per crew, creating a mix of news reports, short films, or commercials for your TY Companies. These are ideal projects for their TY Portfolios and to show on Graduation night. (Duration: Full School Day)
Introduction to Camera, Editing & Green Screen Workshop
The perfect workshop if you are short on time or budget. This condensed version of our Full Day Workshop includes a hands on camera presentation followed by an overview of Green Screen technology along with editing techniques. Students will write & produce a magazine style programme, an ideal project suitable for their TY Portfolios (Duration 3.5 hrs)

Workshop 1

Students will learn about camera shots & camera angles. What is the thinking behind using these shots. What impact does it have on screen? The students will view movie clips and then get the opportunity to shoot their own films and edit on iMovies, putting into practice what they just learnt with us. (Duration 3 hrs)

Advanced Camera Skills
Advanced Camera Skills
This workshop we focus on camera movement, from pan, tilts, jibs & tracking shots, we will analyse movie clips and discuss how these shots can enhance storytelling on screen. For example “camera tricks” we will show the iconic Dolly/Zoom shot from JAWS which catapulted the audience into the panicked mind of Chef Brody. Students will then receive a task in which they will Shoot and Edit a sequence on iMovies. (Duration 3 hrs)

Green Screen
Green Screen
In this workshop students will learn how to set up, light and shoot on green screen. In the edit they will learn how to superimpose backgrounds from our extensive library. We also cover advanced editing features on iMovies as part of this workshop. Students are then given the task of producing a news programme or magazine segment using their newly learnt skills. (Duration 3 hrs)

Foley Sound & Layering
Foley Sound & Layering
Film director Francis Ford Coppola maintained that “sound design was always 50% of the film”, in this workshop the students will be introduced to sound design, layering and Foley FX. Foley FX is where sounds FX in movies are recreated from unlikely random objects. We get the students to recreate their own Foley FX. They will also learn how to edit sound and sound layering. (Duration 3 hrs)
